“Hockey is life, life is hockey” – The Razorbacks
Formed under the umbrella of Swinburne University Sport and Recreation during the 1990 summer season, we are a relatively new club with a mighty spirit. In 2010 we separated from the University and became Swinburne Hockey Club. In 2020 we rebranded to Melbourne Razorbacks Hockey Club but kept the clubs mighty spirit.
Playing out of our home venue at Elwood Hockey Ground, the Melbourne Razorbacks Hockey Club participate in the Hockey Victoria winter home and away competition. We have been slowly building up a reputation for being a small, friendly and supportive Hockey Club. Outside of the regular season we also participate in both the summer and indoor competitions coordinated by Hockey Victoria.
Since our inception, we have steadily grown in numbers with a current membership base of approximately 90 players.
